BRAINERD/NISSWA AREA
Look for crappies in 8 to 15 feet on North Long Lake, Hubert Lake, and Nisswa Lake. Northern pike are hitting sucker minnows in 7 to 15 feet North Long, Gull Lake, and Cullen Lake. Shiner minnows or rosy reds are turning walleyes in 15 to 26 feet on Gull, North Long, Pelican Lake, and Round Lake. You’ll find sunfish in 6 to 8 feet at Nisswa and North Long.

BRAINERD/NISSWA AREA
The north end of Gull Lake started giving up walleyes in 17 to 26 feet, while North Long Lake, Cullen Lake, Lake Margaret, and Nisswa Lake are producing crappies in 15 to 18 feet. North Long and Nisswa also are giving up sunfish in 15 feet, and northern pike remain active on North Long and the south end of Gull in 8 to 16 feet.

Look for suspended crappies over 15 to 17 feet on North Long Lake and Nisswa Lake – rosy reds or spikes are working best. Some sunfish are being caught in 12 to 14 feet on North Long and Nisswa, while Gull Lake and North Long have been best for walleyes in 17 to 26 feet. Northern pike action has been best on Gull with shiner minnows in 10 to 12 feet. You’ll find more than 12 inches of ice on area lakes.
